Sevilla player has heart attack

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

This is horrible. He was going to be a dad in two months, too.

Clive Clarke, the Leicester defender has collapsed in the dressing room, causing the game to be abandoned.

Shitting hell. 3 tragic deaths in football in a week and now this.

Sorry for my ignorance here, fella, but I'm only aware of the lad from Sevilla's death. What else has happened?

A Walsall player collapsed on the training ground last week, and then Ray Jones from QPR died in a car crash.

while these are tragic events, lots of young people die every day in targic circumstances, and we don't have threads to them. We lost more young soldiers to American incompetence in the middle east, we've had a young girl drown over the weekend and 2 died at the NottingHill Carnival.

with respect to all those who have died, let's not get all Liverpool over this.

To be fair Commie, this is a football forum, filled with football fans, to talk about footballing matters. Of course people die, but I don't think there's any problem with us particularly focusing on isolated incidents if they are related to football.

but we have a general section too, that we don't put all the other ones in. it's too easy to get carried away, he had a heart attack just like thousands of other active people every year. tragic but no more tragic then any young fit persons death and possibly less tragic then say a child shot, stabbed, drowned, knocked over or dying of illness.
