Solskjaer retires due to injury

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Nothing compared with the Seville fullback's sad death, but ... and I don't say this lightly when talking about a Stretford player ... this guy has been one hell of a player & I would respect him whoever he played for.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Totally agree with everything you have said there. Unbelievably underrated by most and the most natural striker I have ever seen play.

Ask most Premiership keepers who played in the late 90's/early 2000's who they most feared swinging a foot at a ball, and I think most would say Ole. His unnatural ability to hit the target with almost all his shots will never be equalled in my opinion.

And as much as I hate the scum, he made Germans cry! Always a winner in my book that! :D

Absolutely lethal infront of goal, the premiership will be poorer without him

Biggest thing he brought to Fergies squad that whilst he was a massively talented player he was happy to be part of the squad even if on the bench which must have been a god send for Fergie. Look at Dioufs reaction to being left out for one game (wrongly in my view) and compare it to Oles reaction.

Great goal poacher. His most impressive feat was coming on in the 72nd minute against Notts Forest and scoring four times in an 8-1 win. Ron Atkinson didn't endear himself to Forest fans by claiming his side had been involved in a 'nine-goal thriller.'

He had an ability to finish chances that simply can't be taught - it comes naturally. Always thought he'd be a good signing for us if he ever decided to leave the Glazerdome - a true professional in his desire to keep working to get a starting spot etc. Shame he's a Rag.
