As the mag explains, it's a combination of achievement and form over the last year.

Ayala's proved himself for years, whereas Terry often gets exposed at the highest level. Rooney's a little high for my tastes but if you think he's not one of the world's best you need to take your bat-blinkers off. Inzaghi's scored hundreds in Italy and you might recall a couple of goals he scored in May. And it's been said many a time on here that there's not a right-back near G-Nev in the top flight. Next?
Ayala is past it, therefore no longer eligible as a current 'great' to me

I said Rooney would struggle to make my top 29 = that's still pretty good if you ask me, even for a Rag

Inzaghi - see Ayala, has scored very infrequently since leaving Juve 5yrs ago (two tap ins in Athens doesnt cut it)

Neville - he's just a c*nt
Ayala was recommended by all four of our stringers in Spain, who presumably see quite a lot of him. Same with Inzaghi, heartily recommended by our friends in Italy, while your Neville comment shows you may not be approaching the exercise with the necessary clarity.

It's all about opinions, though. What's your hundred?

Forlan scored 19 league goals last season. Anelka scored 11.

I realise I should have restricted my comments to those statistics to avoid confusion, but look at the time I was psoting.

I did notice the time, and the fact that you were following the rules with a dedication which would please Walter Sobchak...

Probably someone who noticed he's scored more goals for England than all but three players. Another question is, what's your hundred?

Jack Charlton has scored more that any other English player and played the same number of games Mickey Owen last season, surprised he isn't top. Come on DSB, that entry into the list was a serious oversight. Just admit it, go on......

Funny how he never mentioned it when he was manager of Ireland. As I've already said, it's based a combination of last season's form and previous class. What's your hundred?

It's a list of current players, is it not?

Depends whether you actually read it or not, Dax. Don't go introducing common sense into it

Now its previous class? I just assumed it was "combination of achievement and form over the last year", confused me a little....

I wouldn't put him in the hundred anyway :D

Oh and I meant BOBBY

My apologies - I meant previous achievement
It's all explained in the mag as opposed to Batty's pirated freeware version

furry muff, but in terms of stats do you reckon Forlan is better than Nico?

Anything can be backed up with stats, 3 out of 4 people know that
