Whatever I have seen of Arsenal has left me wondering why some were getting so excited about them.
United are surely the best team in the division.

You see, we beat a side 8-0 and they are shite. Arsenal win 7-0 and they're the best side going.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:Whatever I have seen of Arsenal has left me wondering why some were getting so excited about them.

I've said for a while they're massively overrated. Well done Sam for the 1-1, I'm happy with that.
I cannot agree that they are over-rated at all.
They were missing their two best, most creative midfielders in Fabregas and Hleb. Van Persie was also missing.
Anyone who under-estimates them is a fool.
Special mention to the ref though, Dean did a wonderful job last night, best referree display I've seen in years, though Adebayor should have had at least one free kick on the break late on.
The toon army deserved their point though.

Indeed - it's hilarious. It's being investigated because there was some 'abnormal' betting activity on large scores before the game. Excuse me for people having confidence in us battering a shite side at home in a must-win gamecommunistworkethic wrote:don't you mean taking a bung?blurred wrote:

Which city would that be, then. Istanbul? They're the ones accused of accepting bungs from shady gambling types, not us...

Watched this in Shearers Bar (It's inside the ground so they get away with the licencing).
Newcastle by far the better side first half, the goal if anything woke them up but it was such an easy goal it was unbelievable. Milner and Martins missed sitters before Milner hit the bar but they got lucky with a horrible penalty award. The defender gets the ball and then his other leg comes across and hits Martins. I think the ref gave it for an intentional kick because it was very clear he got the ball. Definitely an SJP decision anwyay.
Second half Brum looked good, kept the ball better and really neither side created much. Scored off a corner last minute from Beye who I thought was good all game, especially considering he had nothing in front of him and all Newcastle's play went down the left.
Look out for Allardyce wearing a beanie hat in a very stupid way, but it was a typical Allardyce victory, complete with set piece winner.

I certainly wish Sam and the Toon all the luck in the world on Saturday. I hope they bury Fulham as we need those around us to lose and keep losing. Of course I never wished Big Sam as much ill-luck as others have done.

I'll go with all of that, except saving a little luck for us in case we need it.Montreal Wanderer wrote:I certainly wish Sam and the Toon all the luck in the world on Saturday.
