Allardyce is a complete failure, let's all laugh at him.

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Solid, brave, battling display from Stoke. Faye was immense in defence and Butt the total midfield general. Box to box, defending, finding space and constantly turning defence into attack, Butt showed what we need at Bolton. Not just a midfield man, a class one.

Faye was quality, unfortunately. Thank christ Sam wasn't here long enough to saddle us with Rozenhal though.

Proof positive that the big fat cnut is hit & miss when he spends cash.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Yeah, watching Faye really reminded me of how much we miss him and how much I rate him.

It's difficult to believe what has become of Damien Duff.. a shadow of what he was and promised to be.

Not sure I understand the nostalgia for Faye at center back, our record with him there was atrocious. Over 2 conceded per game IIRC. Maybe he could have done better if paired with a leader like O'Brien but the Meite/Faye partnership was not solid.

i miss ben haim more. i just liked his attitude, his "i will shit on you" attitude. you can also appreciate how good he was with the ball when you see meite dallying around like the ball's on fire or o'brien nice person it to the upper tier.

Been there.

They have a huge picture on the trophy room wall of one of their champions league winning teams, with Campo and Hierro prominent.

Cue much amusement from locals (it was v busy, as they were unveiling Cassano at the time) when me, my dad and my brother-in-law had our picture taken with Wanderers tops on all pointing at Campo!! (who they think was Cid-esque it seems).

Happy days

Aye, he did look like he'd been on the ale and pies, and was apparantly woefully out of form with Roma(?).

I'm sure this gives you an opportunity to introduce a Mr K Nolan into another thread(drumroll please).......
