well, just to make you happy I tried again after a long absence. One of the questions (general trivia) is what is two plus two. I wasted a lot of time looking for a trap. As a result Sluffy beat me by five seconds and now I will be depressed for some considerable time. Thanks a lot, AT!americantrotter wrote:I stillc ant play on weekends. No one in their right mind. It's called a joke.

Don't worry too much Monty - you can get your revenge tomorrow!Montreal Wanderer wrote:well, just to make you happy I tried again after a long absence. (I actually know now how competitors can get ten questions correct in well under sub 30 second times - but as you will see from my times, I still play the quiz the old fashioned way!).

You can cheat at this game? Good Lord! I doubt I'll be there tomorrow so I'll hand over the 2008 championship to you now!sluffy wrote:Don't worry too much Monty - you can get your revenge tomorrow!Montreal Wanderer wrote:well, just to make you happy I tried again after a long absence. Well I'm not sure if some would call it cheating - more 'learning from experience' elsewhere - and then applying it to 'our' quiz.Montreal Wanderer wrote:You can cheat at this game? Good Lord! There are undoubtedly some clever people who play the quiz without the need to 'be creative'.
At the end of the day it is only a bit of fun - and when you get to my age I'm just happy that I can still read the questions without having to put on my spec's and that the old grey matter still seems to be working (most of the time anyway!).
I can get ten in thirty seconds by just picking out a few key words from each question - I do slip out by missing words like 'not' occassionallysluffy wrote:Well I'm not sure if some would call it cheating - more 'learning from experience' elsewhere - and then applying it to 'our' quiz.Montreal Wanderer wrote:You can cheat at this game? Sometimes I've had the question before
Another trick is invariably if 'all of these' is a possible answer, that is the right one - if I see that I click it without even reading the question

Edit: That is me being cocky.
