Nah clouser fooked off ages ago - he did all the live synth & programmed drums.
Josh Freeze (Who turns up fooking everywhere) was the last live drummer and he's shit hot.
My point is a lot of my favourite beats are synthesized and are fook all to do with a drummer.
Someone pointed out Marilyn Manson's Beautiful People - all drum machine.

For pace I'd look no further than Phil-thy Animal Taylor from Motorhead http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35aCFQYCLI0, aside from Ian Paice of course from Purple.
You Tubing Cozy doing his 1812 Drum solo is also major http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PckIHUVq-VQ. On the Cozy front, I could probably pick quite a few tracks from his Rainbow days (Long Live Rock and Roll probably isn't one of them though) Stargazer would be in there somewhere http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0X64e7N ... re=related. There's also some interesting stuff from him when he was with Colessium.
Michael Shrieve's solo from Santana's Soul Sacrifice at Woodstock is also a must - although there were a number of percussionists there too - the guy was only 19...

Neal Peart's solos are excellent as he uses a full set of percussion generally, but don't let the fact he's got more bits to hit confuse you as to his capability. Just having more things to whack and hitting 'em badly don't make you a better drummer.
Carl Palmer on Fanfare for a Common Man is also a good watch on YouTube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=we55QQcsvY4
And it sort of hurts me to mention it, but Chester Thompson and Phil Collins managed a very passable Duo spot at last years Genesis gig. (must be getting soft in me old age)

If it is you living near Commie (and not me) please hit your drums a little harder and try and make certain.

Jimmy is drumming as great as ever with the Pumpkins and seems to be on the straight and narrow these days!!marshall_42 wrote:so he is out of jail then? Where were you last night? You missed the ginge convention.Super_Kevin_Davies wrote:Jimmy Chamberlain
Unfortunately I couldn't make the ginge convention, I feel I let my fellow gingers down - I worked late and made a taxi stop so didn't get parked up till 30 minutes before kick off, only just made it in for the game!!
