Personal biases aside:
Good game of football and United did what they had to do. Tevez was head and shoulders over all the reds (somebody say Stelios wasn't strong enough or big enough for the premiership, Deco, Messi (more meat on a lolly stick,) Puyol, the young kid Bojan?). Messi is a frightening talent and Deco was all over the park. Nice to see Eidur if only for a few minutes. Terrific level of fitness shown all round. If Barcelona didn't persist in trying to walk it in they might have done better. Could have enjoyed it much more if I didn't work right in the heart of Manchester. I'll have it all bloody day tomorrow.

Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
Just thinking, fan deaths caused by a United-Liverpool final could cause English clubs to be banned from Europe for a few years. Tragedy aside it'd have very strange effects on the league.

Won't happen, too much money in the game these days.Athers wrote:Just thinking, fan deaths caused by a United-Liverpool final could cause English clubs to be banned from Europe for a few years. Tragedy aside it'd have very strange effects on the league.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

That's because the NKVD and Spetsnaz will machine-gun the nice people.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I've heard from well-placed sources that UEFA were definitely worried about the fringe possibilities of a Rags-Pool final in Greece last year. God's country! God's county!
God's town! God's team!!
How can we fail?
COME ON YOU WHITES!!

I see what you're saying and it's probably right but I can't help but think UEFA don't particularly like all this English domination of their flagship competition. Gaillard (sp?) especially don't like Liverpool for instance, they'd be knackered if they were to be banned from the CL more than anyone 'n' all.Lord Kangana wrote:Won't happen, too much money in the game these days.Athers wrote:Just thinking, fan deaths caused by a United-Liverpool final could cause English clubs to be banned from Europe for a few years. I'd like to see the looks on the Mancs faces when they realise Comrade Abramovitch has booked all the Hotels in Moscow (allegedly) for the Fianl.

Funny you should say that. I was talking to a Manc tonight and he can't get a hotel. He's looking at hostels now.enfieldwhite wrote:I'm going for a Chelsea/ United final (sorry blurred)

Just remember, no matter how bad thing get; no matter how desparate things may seam; no matter how much you think you simply cannot sink any lower.
Just repeat this five times to yourself:
"I AM NOT JOHN ARNE RIISE"
"I AM NOT JOHN ARNE RIISE"
"I AM NOT JOHN ARNE RIISE"
"I AM NOT JOHN ARNE RIISE"
"I AM NOT JOHN ARNE RIISE"

There are very few hotel rooms in Moscow at the best of times, Warty. HTF it got the vote for the final is beyond belief. I was listening to the radio on the way home and there were plenty on there bleating on about the price of their trips. If they think that that's dear then just wait 'til they get there. Moscow is now even more expensive (to some tune) than Copenhagen and Oslo.warthog wrote:Funny you should say that. I was talking to a Manc tonight and he can't get a hotel. Unless the guy physically couldn't stand, you'd play him until his leg fell off surely? All he had to do was hobble around the 6 yard box for 10 minutes.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Babel is a striker, and pacy too, but he's no Torres.
