i saw no doubt , less than jake and hooberdtank supporting greenday in manchester in 2002 but they were all established bands by then.
Kill Hannah supporting Aiden at Manchester Academy were awesome though ... the crowd was very young so i felt really old

Life is not like a box of chocolates , it is infact , like a box of chuck norris roundhouse kicking you in the face. And if you recieve a box of chuck norris , you always know what your gonna get.

Turin Brakes (supporting David Gray)
All about Eve (supporting Simple Minds)
and Cast (supporting Shed 7) were all belting.
The best though had to be Newton Faulkner who was far and away better than the main act Paulo Nutini.
Somebody supported Paul Weller a few years ago called Nic Armstrong and the Bad Thieves. They sounded great so I bought their album on the strength of it. Absolute 5hite.

He is, allegedly, pubeless too. Although whether by nature or artifice I am unsure.BWFC_Insane wrote:Don't think many can.Bruce Rioja wrote:He was on Later with JH last week. Holding back the years? I don't know and I don't like him either.TANGODANCER wrote:I ask the question in all naivety: What's so bad about Mick Hucknell? I know little about him exept for his recordings, some of which I quite like. Where's the apparent hatred come from, or shouldn't I ask?
He's a competent vocalist and doesn't come across (to me anyway) as a nob when interviewed.
Maybe it's because he looks like a scruffy old tramp and still got to shag Catherine Zeta Jones in her prime.

Talking of shite support bands - the worst, well wierdest was German techno mentalists Atari Teenage Riot supporting Nine Inch Nails @ Brixton Academy in '99.
45 minutes of ear splitting white noise and feedback while Alec Empire the "vocalist" screamed and growled into the mic.
It got the crowd fired up though....they were ready to kill 'em.
