Champions League Final

So with the last kick of the season only a few days away, who do you want to win the CL Final.

I know none of them might well be preferred option, but it isn't going to happen

Despite living near their Surrey heartland, Chelsea. Ideally both to lose, but the rags would be insufferable and I'd love Avram Grant to lift the Cup, walk over to Abramovich and poke him in the eye.

I don't think I'll watch it, mind. And if I do I'll have turned over before the final whistle stops echoing.

Chelsea for me - for three reasons.

1. My son follows them.

2. I hate the rags.

3. They both can't lose.

Simple really ABU (with an echo of DSB's sentiments on Grant, only with the addition of a pre-written resignation letter accompanied by a flourish of "Up yours, if you want fantasy football play Champ manager".)
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

chelsea for me too, there are very few more annoying things on this planet than a crowing manc, especially one who hasn't been to the filthhole since they were 12.

Must be Utd as they are 'bouncing' into the final. :whack:

I seriously hope Chelsea win. Utd have won the Prem title but this is the one they desperately want. To quote KK, 'I'd luv it if Chelsea won'

Also as a young child I was a Chelsea fan  My excuse, ...... Alan Hudson

I'll own up to be one of two voting for the Manc option.

I've got to admit, I just don't hate United. For one thing, my mum is from Manchester and has always supported them. On my dad's side of the family, pretty much every male has been a Bolton fan.... apart from one. His youngest brother went against the family brainwashing that later proved to be effective on me and was an avid United fan. When still a teenager, this brother, the uncle I never knew, was killed by being crushed behind a supporters' coach whilst visiting St Andrews to watch United against Birmingham. Given that it was a tragedy that befell a Little Lever family, I daresay many of you will have read about it at the time. Several of the playing and managerial staff of the United team of the day attended the funeral, and the Club generally did everything they could to help my family at an incredibly sad time for them. It's just not in my blood to hate that football club.

I suppose it also helps that I don't live, nor have I ever lived, in the Greater Manchester or Bolton area.

So... with all that said, I happen to admire United as a football team. Even when people were falling over themselves to wax lyrical about Arsenal, I still preferred United's more muscular brand of attacking football. I just like the way they play the game with the appropriate balance of pragmatism, athleticism and flair, which was why I was pleased to see them prevail over Chelsea in the league, and why I will be hoping for the same result on Wednesday night.

Just so we're clear, I'm not a closet Manc, and getting a result against them is still as sweet as gets for me.

Well, there is perhaps one team I prefer to beat - Liverpool (probably the result of living on the Wirral for most of my life). Which brings me to another benefit of a United victory - it would piss off the Scousers no end if United could get to within 2 European Cups of them, as well as being within one league title.

much as I agree with BR's view, I can't see past Man U, simply because they have been the best English team this season. For all the Manyoo "followers" nonsense, manyoo play great football.

Chelsea fans don't deserve it for slagging off Herbert Lom all season and saying "he's not the man to take us to the next level". Well my King's Rd nobbers, Jose only ever got to a CL semi-final, this fella's got to the final. I'd say that's very obviously the "next level" and without spunking another £100m too.
