Hull

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

That'd be fantastic. Wouldn't be surprised if Stelios went there, either.

Chuffed for our B team, and the Premier League gets a chance to see Pedersen again :D

Can't help thinking they're going to get hammered every week, but the KC is a fantastic stadium, a world away from Boothferry, and I reckon it'll be a great atmosphere both at their place and the 'Bok with us having a Roses match again.

Won't be too bad a run from your neck of the woods, regardless of timing? One of the easiest grounds in the country to get to; my current record in an hour and forty five minutes when I had to shoot up to the KC on business last year.

Bit of a hairy walk from Paragon (I think?) so I believe, though. Definite zip up your jacket time.

Well done Browny lad, but god help them next season. Took some fairly inspired defending to get them through.

Transpennine Express? First time I went to Hull was on a boneshaker coach from outside The Albion. 2-2 with Warren Joyce equalising late on. Blimey I'm getting old. :(

I got arrested in Hull in 1977 ... for laughing when our fans took exception to the 'ull fullback kicking Willie Morgan. They chanted, as one " ... you dirty Yorkshire bastard" ... I laughed, a cop said "who's a dirty Yorkshire bastard ?" ...I said " ... I think they mean the number 2, there ..." .

Another copper leans over & says "...Well, I'm a dirty Yorkshire bastard" ... I say " ... don't tell me your problems ..." then, in a split second, my arm's up my back, I'm bounced up to the top of the terracing, then down about 50 steps on the other side & spent the rest of the game being grunted at by an illeterate desk-sargeant in a porta-kabin on the shale at the front of the ground.

When I say illiterate what I mean is that I had to fill my details in, as he was too thick to do it !!

When I told them my 'profession' was student their little faces lit up.

Then, when in answer to the never to be forgotten question " ... oh yeah ... & we are we studenting, student ?" I told them " ... well Law, actually ..." I actually saw a small bit of panic.

They kept me & some real thugs (well, they had tattoo's ffs !!) back until a paddy-wagon came to take us down-town and when I got to the door the illeterate one stops me, gives my arm a Hull version of a Chinese burn and says " not you ... student. You can just fck-off !".

Gosh I'm looking forward to going back.

After me .... " you dirty Yorkshire bastard ..."
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

They'll be in good company then :?

They were lobbing stuff at us at Boothferry when we went with RMI in the LDV so god knows what they'll be like in the Premiership, the rugby fans are bad enough at the KC!

Is Okocha still there?

I know it's desperately unlikely but I'd love to see him back at the Reebok one last time...

Jay Jay supposed to be retiring at the end of the season, but Browny may try to convince him to stay on. Whether he'll have to phone the Lord to advise Jay Jay to stay, who knows.

Just been talking to a Hull supporter, highly euphoric right now, which is prfectly understandable. Says however that they need to target the easier games next season in order to progress....like Bolton and Wigan.. I remeinded him that both are capable of upsetting major applecarts occasionally, like taking points of the top boys. Don't think it went in, they're up here to win it.......yeah?
