Wimbledon
Not the football team, but the biggest borefest in the sporting calendar.
I hate Wimbledon fortnight. All that hype for what? Endless hours of sport's version of Chucklevision - 'to me, to you, to me, to you' only for the same people to end up winning it. Again. And worst of all, Tarquin, Jemima, Sir Cliff and their champers and Pimms swigging pals lording it over those Union Jack clad sheep who are daft enough to queue all night to catch a glimpse of the British no 8923 getting walloped on court 87 in less than ten minutes.
If you like tennis though, talk about it here if you want.

Unfortunately in the mens game there'll only be two matches worth watching (Fed-Djok and winner vs Nadal), few more in the womens I imagine though, it's a shame Henin isn't still playing to complete the set of Slams.

Ha, well I love it. Tennis at its best - on grass courts and in a tournament with the kind of romance that kids growing up on the streets of Belgrade dream about.
Hopefully Rafa will get the job done and see Federer off this year, after looking terrific at Queen's. And let's hope Ivanovic sticks around as long as possible.

Rafa? Isn't he a prick? Or am I getting confused?mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:Ha, well I love it. Tennis at its best - on grass courts and in a tournament with the kind of romance that kids growing up on the streets of Belgrade dream about.

Indeed. You see, as far as I can see, the absolute definition of a scary geek, or else the do-er of homo-bottom business is a bloke that watches the bird's tennis with an interest in the result.hisroyalgingerness wrote:cue lots of images of russian female tennis players to get some kind of interest
