Come on you Ruskies!!!!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Come on you Ruskies!!!!

Post by Hoboh » Thu Jun 26, 2008 12:47 pm

Apart from the fact I got them in the sweep  The Ruskies look to be one of the best teams in the Euros and IMHO look like the only team to stop the Krauts dead in their tracks. We should back them to the hilt.

One thing puzzles me tho' why is Hiddick not at a big club? the bloke is a feckin' genius with what he has had to work with and produces good teams (or everything the AntiChrist tried to be but couldn't quite make it).
Thoughts?

Might be something to do with the frighteningly large wedge he is receiving for managing aforementioned Russkies.

Likewise.

So long as Torres/Alonso don't get injured I don't give a flying feck one way or another, I just want to watch some good footie.

Russia are helped by also being Holland, according to not one but two mistakes in Kevin McCarra's Guardian preview this morning.

I'd prefer Spain to be in the final myself.

Spain was my pick at the beginning too - although the Russians have certainly impressed me (after their first game).

Spain for me too, although their history of fading, and the current standard of Russia's game doesn't fill me with confidence for a Spanish win. Should be interesting to say the least.

I'll go for Spain unless Russia play the way they did in the last two games - brilliant attacking football.

Like Bolton under Allardyce.

Doesn't matter who wins tonite, once the Germans unleash their Panzer Corps on them. Though if its Russia in the final, it could be an interesting rematch after Stalingrad.

Russians to make the final. Deutschland, Deutschland Uber Alles to make it 1-1 on aggregate  .

I have the Ruskies in the sweep too! They don't look as good as Spain so far though.

feck off Clive Tyldesley.

That Torres chance before hadn't even trickled past the post and he was already listing excuses why he'd missed it. Before adding 'There was a touch of the Gerrard-Torres Liverpool axis to that Spanish move'.

Absolute c*nt that man. Atleast he hasn't mentioned Ronaldo yet.

Is it just me or does David Pleat sound like Professor Farnsworth from Futurama?

All over bar the shouting now. My pick will at least go to the final.
