Crouch 'Back in the Big Time'
Headline on the back of the Mail this morning, apparently.
Champions League Final with us, FA Cup winner with us, but now he's 'back in the big time' at Pompey?
The mind boggles.
Good luck to him there, anyway. I always quite liked Crouch.

he was on the bench all the time.
he'll play more or less every week now.
although england caps might be harder to come by now.
i seem to remember he was at southampton and there was "will he get an england cap" talk , inbetween him getting goals every other week, i dont think it came ..
but as soon as he moved, he got called up - i dont think he'd even played for liverpool yet.
..
if we would have bought crouch, he couldve annouced his international retirement on the same day.

Don't worry, Benitez knows what he's doing - I mean it's not like he's a prick or anything is it?FD wrote:Are Liverpool going to replace him?
They've got Torres and...well, Gerrard. Voronin is shit, Kuyt doesn't seem like the kind of "striker" who will get 15 goals (Rafa plays him out wide now doesn't he?) so is Rafa literaly just relying on Torres and Gerrard to win the titles?

The word on the street is apparently Robbie Keane, although how much that is to be believed I don't know. The sheer number of players we get linked to is just daft - there's no way we can afford them all. This rumour's had staying power, though, so we shall see.FD wrote:Are Liverpool going to replace him?

I understand that, when asked in the press conference about his time at Liverpool in the past couple of years, he said that he believed that Benitez was, in fact, a prick.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Word on the street is DISABLED, by a parking bay. D'you think that if Juande Ramos manages to fleece the rags for Berbatov and Liverpule for Keane, he might pop back for a certain Mr D. Villa of Valencia? Might be worth it for the fun of watching Rafa's head explode (and Spurs fans jizzing in each other's faces before the inevitable disappointment)...
