Thank you very much for..

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I can still sing this song, and with conviction

"Sha la la la la-la la
diouf diouf
Sha la la la-la la la la
Diouf Diouf
Sha la la-la la la
El-Hadji Diouf will spit on you"

One thing I find funny. I liked Diouf, but he was so universally hated and not just by Liverpool fans. I must admit surprise that so many Sunderland fans have been coming onto this board so so so excited about the signing. I thought many of the fans would have been disgusted in the signing. He was a fan favourite at Bolton but not anywhere else.

Is it because Sunderland fans are a little desperate, or do most fans secretly envy the talents of Diouf despite his attitude problems.

If you all support him and show him your love you might get a good signing, but he must be treated with kid gloves otherwise it will be us doing all the laughing. Most Bolton fans are not that upset, not because we didn't like him but simply because we were resigned to losing him, and his standout moments got fewer and fewer.

Well said. Yes he's horrible and he's got the sort of face you could punch and not feel guilty but he is a decent player and lets be honest we've not been signing 'decent' players for a while.

Sunderland fans like him now because he's theirs. Similarly, when we watch MOTD over the coming season and see him diving all over the show, we'll think he's a cheating nice person. Football fans are fickle.

We always knew he was a cheating nice person. We weren't daft. But he was OUR cheating nice person

Sorry, I never liked him. Always thought he was a cheat and a nasty piece of work.

He got away with it because he played for the team I support, but I never ever liked or condoned his actions.

It would have been almost impossible to do worse than you did last time in the Premier League.I say almost because Derby did manage it.

Don't suppose you're related to a Mich Caine by any chance?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Then go ahead and make them reality, obviously once you've left school.
