3rd Test v South Africa

Post by superjohnmcginlay » Wed Jul 30, 2008 12:46 pm

What the fook are they playing at? Moving along nicely at 68-0 then Strauss hits his own wicket and that useless excuse for a batsman Vaughan gets out first fooking ball.
You cant have a No.3 getting fook all constantly, captain or not.

And Pietersen gone cheaply too. It's deja vu all over again.

Poor showing so far from England, however, Pietersen was never out either way - couldn't have been out LBW as it was outside the line and there was no edge for the catch.

Said on the Guardian that both Vaughan & Pietersen were given caught but neither of them hit it.
Pietersen may well have been LBW?.

Any on here seen the replays?.

500th Post by the way :goal:

Shame England don't look like getting 500.

Vaughn in "f**king sh*t" shocker.

Undroppable yet underperforming.

D'oh! If only they'd been given the opportunity of trialling the appeal referral system in this Test series.

Wait a minute...

I think the Umpires have taken umbridge as we've lost 6 wickets in 3 tests to poor decisions to the
SA's 1 & that was very close as proved by Hawkeye.

Snicko disagrees with the Vaughan analysis above - he hit it.

Usual England. Can't be arsed to bat properly. The talent is there, the application and committment is missing!

Hot-Spot shows nothing, but there's a noise on snicko. However, it's a long muffled sound that doesn't usually indicate bat. Not sure what else it could have been, though. Strange. Plenty of the South Africans weren't convinced (Boucher didn't even appeal), Vaughan was certain he hadn't hit it, and the technology has failed to provide a definitive answer.

I disagree, Batman. I'd say that this is the first time in my life that we've been shit at all team sports. There's always been something that we've been doing alright at, and whether the specific sport is of interest to me or not is irrelevant, but I'd seriously say that this is the first time in my life that I can't point to a single team sport without saying "And now we're shit at that an' all". :(
