Liam Gallagher blasts "ridiculous" Rooney
Tell it like it is Liam

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/a12 ... ooney.htmlLiam Gallagher has blasted Wayne Rooney for his £5 million wedding, describing the footballer's extravagance as "ridiculous".
The Man United player tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Coleen McLoughlin at a 17th century palace on the Italian Riviera in June.
Gallagher, who married Nicole Appleton in a basic ceremony earlier this year, admitted that he cannot understand the couple's decision.
In an interview with The Times, he ranted: "You've got this kid who's f****** 19 or whatever the f*** he is, who 20 minutes ago was playing for Everton, having a five million pound wedding! How do you f****** grasp that?
"All right, he earned his f****** money, do what you want, but I couldn't live with meself. That to me is just f****** ridiculous. There's ways of doing it. In fact, what did mine cost? I got married at Marylebone station, er, Marylebone registry office. In and out, no f****** about, it cost £18. Reception over the road, it was nice, we drank champagne, but I've still got a lid on it."
Gallagher also insisted that he would never have considered selling his wedding pictures to a magazine like Wayne and Coleen did.
"It smells funny, it doesn't sit right. I'd have to be well and truly f****** desperate," he explained. "I'd have to be homeless. It's like, haven't you got e-f******-nough, you little ****? I find that hard to f****** take. But that's famous people for yer. When they're not on the f****** telly they want to be in a f****** magazine and when they're not in a magazine they want to be on a f****** bottle of water. It's like, f****** chill the f*** out, you can't do one f****** job right let alone f****** trying to do f****** five, you *****!"
"Don't like modern bands. Topman music, innit?"

A lot of things in the West can be considered obscene if you want to compare everything to the third world.
The point is that Gallagher is ranting on about something that's none of his business. Good musician but he's always been a gobshyte unfortunately.

Regardless of the language used (of which I'm no stranger) he couldn't be more correct if he tried.
Rooney is barely an adult and not only is it ridiculous the money he has, it's also disgusting the way these kind of people sell the exclusive to their wedding photos. A wedding shouldn't be about making money, especially when you're already f**king loaded, it's vulgar and horrible to "sell" your wedding photo's.
Not quite sure how it can be "none of his business" when every time you open a newspaper or turn on the television you are bombarded with exactly this kind of celebrity bullshit. They sell their photos yet would probably complain about lack of privacy were they to be snapped on a beach.

Gallagher can feck off really. The irony of him moaning about celebrities trying to stay in the public eye, and then coming out with something like that trying to further his own image (swearing is good and all, but does anyone really need to swear every other word?) and get lots of news coverage.

...so he has nothing to say in that department? Great marriage that'll be then.CrazyHorse wrote:To be fair to Rooney (though I doubt he deserves it) I think it's his wife who controls this side of things.
Liam (and his band) have an album out soon, he was being interviewed, he was asked questions, he answered them. If you feel like it, look out the rest of the interview (I'll warn you though, it's pretty long) and you'll see there's more to it than that.Tombwfc wrote:Rooney can do what he likes with his money.

The guy is a family man and in his own words "If I'm out, get pissed up and some paparazzi takes photo's of me then fine. If I'm taking my little girl to school and they jump and out and start snapping, I'll f**king lose it".

So should he be taking the Madonna "my marriage is on the rocks again, just as my new signle is coming out" approach, or should he just adopt a baby in readiness for the new album? I could just picture the meeting with the PR Company at that time.....Tombwfc wrote:I'm aware they've got a new album out, hence why he's trying to gain publicity for it by slagging off one of the nations most famous people.
Like i said, it's ironic that he's calling people for trying to engineer pubicity, while trying to get some of his own.
Madonna: Quick! My new album's out, and I've not had my saggy arse in the papers for at least three hours now. What do we need to do
PR: Our research shows that your profile has fallen 5% in the C2DE market. Must have been all that grouse hunting and that ridiculous posh accent you tried.
Madoona: Well, don't just give me options, give me answers. Quick, what do all these people have that I don't?
PR: Well, it's not really a viable option, and I can't base this on anything else other than my lazy generalisations....
PR's colleague: (interrupts) Well, that's never stopped us before
PR:...good point. Well, what I reckon they have and you don't is...a brown baby. I saw it once on Trisha, when I had a comedown day.
Madonna: Get me one
PR: But....
Madoona: JUST GET ME ONE! DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM? I'M MADONNA! JUST GET ME A BROWN BABY!
Liam is hardly a publicity grabber in general, you barely hear from him except when there's a musical connection, I'd give him fair dues on this one.FD wrote:Liam (and his band) have an album out soon, he was being interviewed, he was asked questions, he answered them.
