Yes, that's correct. We can't play him in potentially 7 games before christmas, or at all in Europe this season were we to get knocked out by Liege. That means he's not worth as much to us as he was before.Batman wrote:FD wrote:Barry has played in the EUFA cup now though, meaning he's cup-tied and that should reduce his value by an awful lot.
what a load of bollocks
just cos he can't play in the chumps league he is worth half as much?
Pretty simple.
If you keep playing like you did yesterday his value might increase drastically out of desperate need. Pretty dire performance yesterday, and it didn't seem to be because Sunderland were very good.blurred wrote:Yes, that's correct. Yep, we were pretty shit. Barry wouldn't have been the solution to the problem(s), though.seanworth wrote:If you keep playing like you did yesterday his value might increase drastically out of desperate need. With the Villa .v. Red Shite (Mk II) game due this weekend the Daily Mirror (I know, I know) did a 32 page diatribe showing Benitez to be the prick that he is, well & truly.
The waiter is still claiming innocence in all this, saying he's bemused at all the fuss ... and that he'll only say even the word "hello" to O'Neill if he really has to, as a reply, otherwise he'll ignore him.
Knowing O'Neill I doubt Benitez will need to bother his sorry ass.
This is all on top of Capello showing real irritation at him re Gerrad's injury & op (which was how all this lot started).
Thank God for that, this thread was slipping way to far down the list.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Harsh or fair comment? You decide.

Well, today pretty much confirmed my thoughts that Benitez is blagging his wage.
Utterly clueless, I'd have him over Megson on todays showing.
What was that midfield about? Why wasn't Benayoun and/or Babel on that field?
Babel never came off the bench yet he's the quickest and most exciting player that Liverpool have.
Amazing, Benitez was tactically retarded today.

No worries. There are folk on here that are rather easilly confused. Not me of course, I'm just trying to clarify things for those that are. Honest, Guvnor, and whatnot!FD wrote:I got myself completely mixed up if I'm honest there Bruce.
What I meant to say is that I WOULDN'T have him over Megson as a manager on todays showing.

May the bridges I burn light your way
