Fairy nuff. Think you're right about Hugh Dennis not fitting in with the show though.

Hugh nowadays (or maybe always has?) is far more political and very very...polite. He doesn't fit in with the laddish kinda swearing etc on the show. Hugh is at his best currently on "The Now Show" on Radio 4 (podcast through iTunes as well) in my opinion with Steve Punt. Kinda reminds me of the old Punt & Dennis show, though more political it still has the sillyness they once had!

Jackdaw4 scores top marks for title song!

Post by Duckie » Sun Sep 07, 2008 9:54 pm

Love The Cup! I did some googling to find out who's playing the title track. Turns out it's a full song by the group Jackdaw4. It's a great pop song with a sing-a-long chorus. It's called Beautiful Game and you can download it (free!!!) from Jackdaw4's website: http://www.jackdaw4.com I can't stop singing it!! :P

It's quite good, though you can see the jokes coming a mile off.

Well, I love that song! It's very catchy. My kids keep singing the na-na-na-na-na bit, which could get annoying after a while. My boys play in the local under 11 team and they like the show almost as much as I do. Nice to see something made in our neck of the woods for a change!
