Benayoun has his place, but I'm not sure that it's in away games in Europe, to be honest - breaking down a side that's parked the bus at Anfield? Yes; he can get between the lines, beat a man occasionally or play some decent through balls, and generally be a bit of an attacking threat - not the sort of player called for in tonight's game for my money, and definitely not a wide player. Dossena looks a bit tubby to me, but he's only had about 4 games so I'm not going to rush to a judgement about him just yet. We'll see how his season pans out a bit first.
Tis why I said fingers crossed - knew they'd come and park the proverbial bus. D'oh.James B wrote:heheblurred wrote:Amazing what a difference a couple of games can make, isn't it? Starting to look a bit like a football team now. Fingers crossed a win against Stoke on Saturday and suddenly it looks like a fantastic start to the season.
good old rafa
Gerrard was unlucky though, think the ref got the disallowed goal wrong at the time.
I think it was probably given for the fact that Torres was offside (though you could only tell from a replay and seeing his shadow was offside), and although he didn't touch it, he did run in front of the keeper and block his view.
I don't think that was why they gave the decision at the time, but afterwards I bet that's the excuse they gave.

Thought it was a fair call, two Liverpool players were offside at the time of the kick and giving the goal would be like rewarding Kuyt for being shit and missing the header.FD wrote:Gerrard was unlucky though, think the ref got the disallowed goal wrong at the time.

Add this to the weird justification of Gerrard's (he's a cheat & a disgrace, you know) dive against Athletico & his deliberate whipping up of opposition against the clubs owners & the old Prick has had a busy month.
... a month in which he gets the Manager of the Month award.
Coming up ; Fred West is home improver of the Millenium and George Bush wins the Nobel-Prize for Peace.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

And the Mirror journo trying to say it was the right one because Nolan flicked a leg out. Garbage. Styles couldn't see a leg through that melee of players. As soon as the ball went in the c*nt's whistle went to his lips. Cue smug smile. Faggot
