Erm, not sure of the details, but I know that a lot have it built-in, and that others can download the software... I think it's made by 'TeleNav'.

If a sat nav is what we call a GPS then http://www.canadagps.com/Popular_BlackBerry.htmlmummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:fatshaft wrote:what what what? How can you do that?mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:say, a blackberry can do, is work as a sat nav.

Presumably similar prices here. Not any cheaper than a full on sat nav then.Montreal Wanderer wrote:If a sat nav is what we call a GPS then http://www.canadagps.com/Popular_BlackBerry.htmlmummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:fatshaft wrote:what what what? No idea about prices - I was trying to answer a different question - i.e. could you have a GPD on a Blackberry?fatshaft wrote:Presumably similar prices here. GPS is the technology that Sat Nav puts to use, Monty.... Sat Nav being, as it is, a device that gives drivers directions en route, both graphically on the screen, and aurally.
As I said, the iPhone has GPS capablities and already has mapping software, but not yet a sat nav function.
A lot of blackberries have sat nav built in, but it was my understanding that the software can be bought for about £20 for those blackberries that do have a GPS function but no sat nav, Fatshaft.
