I generally avoid anything with the words "Celebrity", "X", "pop", "factor", "ice", "choir", "America's next", "Big" and "Brother" in like the plague. I'm sure there are other words I've omitted from the list....

Was it supposed to be funny? Was it a parody or just bone idle writing?

Expect the DVD in your stocking this Christmas.
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

It was shockingly bad.

Couple of laughs in it, that was about it.

some good one-liners .... but definately flogged it to death. That said, anything which takes a swipe at the preponderance of these sort of shite programmes is a good thing in my book.

Overall I found myself not concentrating & channel hopping.

Surprised it wasn't a Christmas special to be honest.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Still some spectacularly funny moments in it for me (in the bits I saw). Not two hours funny though. A bit too ambitious perhaps?

Good, if easy, concept to take a swipe at. Some good moments in there, but not worth a whole night of telly. Fair enough wallpaper telly, which you don't necessarily want as a one-off comedy.

It was a good old fashioned spoof but it didn't work because everyone knew it was a spoof. It was cleverly written and some funny parts in it definitely.

But it was a bit laboured at times and sometimes you felt it didn't go far enough.

Hard to judge it really.

I had to turn it off after R Wayne performed. It was completely sh**. So obvious, and painful I thought. Just like BWFCI said, it didnt work because everyone knew it was a spoof, it looked like a spoof, the acting from the judges was just terrible. I know it's taking the piss out of these things but it really was crap

I concur on both of those! Definitely the funniest two bits.

I think the only part I properly laughed at was the "oi, her Mum died in that dress" line

The problem with this show was that it's about 5 years too late. Peter Kay is pretty good at spotting absurd things we take for granted ("turn the big light off" and the like), but with reality shows, we all know how absurd they are anyway, so he's telling us nowt new.
