DSB inspired "Supposed great works of art" thread

I had a black tie dinner last night in a very nice-looking room in Pembroke College (Cambridge), built in 1355 with a very ornate seventeenth century plaster ceiling designed by Henry Doogood, one of Sir Christopher Wren's master plasterers. Across the courtyard there is the chapel designed by Wren, and also the impressive Victorian gothic revival New Library, by Waterman.

Plenty of 'great works of art' around the place, just not enough time to see them in....

We've obviously lost the point of this thread - great works of art that ain't worth a half-hearted fart in the opinion of the poster...

But need one for the inspiring works of art... ok... let's do it, while keeping open this one for the totally/abysmal/incomprehensible/whogivesafeckanyway...
