Another reccomendations : Dead Space. The best sound you'll hear in a videogame to date (if you have 5.1) and wonderfully tense to boot. Amazing visuals and the lack of a HUD in game is a masterstroke and done to perfection. If you like games like Resident Evil 4, BioShock etc you must buy this immediately.

Have dead space its quality. The motion is superb. And I love the aiming mechanism.

Its not tense or scary though. But its still brill!

I disagree mate, when you are walking around the ship with nothing happening I find it extremely tense. Don't find it with other games but this one, I feel they've utterly nailed the atmosphere.

Fallout 3 and Gears 2 should be on everyones "to buy" list next

Oh they have nailed the atomosphere I agree, but just there isn't much penalty for dieing. Not that I particularly want there to be. but when you die you go back a few rooms and re-play the action. Still its very very good.

My Xbox GT is Hyper Music X. I'm not on much as I'm at uni now and we don't have access to Live here! AGH!

I'm gonna buy Fallout 3 tommorrow. I managed to resist the temptation to buy Fifa or Pro Evo or Fable 2, and this will be worth the wait I'm sure!

Dead Space is one of those games that I just can't play, too scary for me haha.

I have all the PC versions and the PS2 game. It also had a large influence on 'The Wanderer'

i dont know if this is true but for some reason i'm under the impression that-

in germany "censorship" of 'media' things is a bit "harsher" than anywhere else.

dvd backup software in germany is a no-no .

google had some shit with a domain name where they couldnt place a hyperlink on one of their sites.

i dont think manhunt 2 (the censored version) was even released there. i know the GTAs were edited.

so i was making a 'joke' that it might be censored to hell - hence the delay.

if its true or not , i dunno.

And unless you go to a major city, you cannot get any PS3 games or XBox 360 games anywhere.

there seems to be an awful lot of new titles all of a sudden at the moment, all very good too - Fallout, Fable, Far Cry, Dead Space - and with Gears 2 round the corner i cant decide what to do? dont like having more than one on the go at once.

Get Gears 2...trust me.

Fallout 3 is amazing though, as is Dead Space.

Far Cry is pretty good but it's on the bottom of the pile as it were.

Fable 2 needs patching, but is a class game.

Personal taste though FD. I prefer Far Cry 2 to gears as I found GOW boring.

Dead Space is great.

Gears 2 is much better than Gears 1, I'd be amazed if anyone found the setpieces in gears 2 boring.
