Plenty of time for my hipflask yet, Madmarx marra. Being 21 I've got years yet before I make the full transition to the East Stand from the SE Corner. Plenty of verbal goading towards the Mags during the match and at the end, but there was no need for it to spill onto the pitch like it did. Some have said that the police/stewards should have done a better job but these grown MEN, not kids, couldn't shown any restraint. I went mental enough at the end, but managed to do it within the confines of the people around me. At no point did I think "Oh, I'll go on the pitch". Lifetime bans, please Mr. Quinn.

Never too soon for a hip flask son, it was the coffe flask i was on about :D Anyway, i wont insult your youth but some of those grown men have had 28 years of mag bullshit to put up with. when you have had it for 28 years ( god forbid) you might change your tune. Another thing you may not understand is that some of the older lads grew up where this was "what you did" and in times of high emotion deep seated learning can over ride sense ( classical conditioning)

Yes in the cold light of reason its nonsensical and in these times of societal control seemingly criminal but it doesnt change what was going on in them lads heads and hearts. It wont happen when we beat them next year and it certainly wont happen when we hammer Bolton :D

It was just high spirits and joy, as for lifetime bans  you want lads that have been supporting sunderland for 40 years home and away, the club tattood on their very body banned forever for getting over excited ?? Live a bit first son, these lads never killed anyone ya knar, but you want to kill them ?

Yes, quite frankly. Every one of them. If a win over Newcastle means they want to abdicate responsibility for controlling their actions, then yes, they should be banned. I've seen my side lift a European Cup (slightly more exciting than not beating Newcastle for 28 years, I'd fancy) but I didn't rush on the pitch to celebrate, and 'but I was excited' would not have been a reasonable excuse if I had and then had got a subsequent ban.

Ban the lot of the f*ckers.

Aye but the ticketless fans "will find a way" (copyright ITV). Can we have the same rules for everyone please?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'm not quite sure why the only way you can show passion is to run on the pitch or throw coins (again, from a safe distance) at Joey Barton, and if for some reason you don't agree with that you must be a hipflask wearing, prawn sandwich eater. I'm passionate about supporting my team, not about running on the pitch or lobbing coins at someone because i think he's a bit of a nice person (as it happens, if Bolton fans did do that, Megson and Nolan would be millionaires by now :)).

If the only way you can convey your 'passion' about beating Newcastle is to run onto the pitch, and the only way you can express your dislike of Barton is to throw coins at him then like i said before you've no business being in a football stadium. The idea that it's ok for grown men to throw things at another grown man because he happened to kiss a bit of his clothing is as mental as, well Barton himself is.

I was taking the piss, son.
Then i suppose someone who identifies passion with ignorant mindless thuggery and excuses said thuggery by talking about "rough estates" and the "local hazard" of getting a smack on a night out might not detect sarcasm.

Next week on The Wanderer, we will be inviting two Stoke City fans onto this Bolton Wanderers forum to discuss their differing views on the hatred of Port Vale, except for viewers in the Tyne-Tees region who will watch the next stage in the never ending Mackem/Geordie saga.
Next, after the ads, we will return to Ant and Decs Gameshow Marathon.

Can someone explain to me why a few morons running on the pitch will get a lifetime ban but this rule does not apply to a certain player with a criminal record and a whole host of violent acts behind him?

I'd rather ban any Sunderland fans who cheer that other thug Keane!

That'd be nigh on 40K every other week then. :|

Not sure why Bolton have a chip on their shoulders regarding Man Utd players/ex-players. It isn't like he played for your main rivals, Burnley, is it? Why not hate Owen Coyle instead. He's a Jock too, 2 birds 1 stone and all that...

Anyways, back on track with the thread title - win tomorrow and send the Mags bottom to really make them cry. Cheers! :D

If there was any question that you may be a Bolton supporter, masquerading as a mackem; then that comment as certainly put it to bed.
