Re: HITCH HIKE
Were people always really pleased when they'd picked you up? Like, did hey do nice things - take you to the ground? buy you a pint? Offer you a flat cap?millsie1 wrote:my good friend and fellow fan would like me to tell you that when i was hitch hikeing to games i use to have a black and white top hat a black and white cape and a black and whie walking stick well it was my grandads shooting stick you just dont see anything like that any more do you remember the lad who use to run on to the pitch at every game and say a prayer in the centre of the pitch? does any of you remember graham who new everything about BOLTON? he used to stand out side ticket office every game near to ruth you must know ruth sold programmes out side ground
Or pretend they had a puncture then drive away?
And did you ever fail to make a game? And did we win?
what was the wierdest place you slept at in those hitchin days?
and was it worth it?
Tell all.
Don't you think you should have a 'millsie's story' thread on the The Trotters site, so we can all get a glimpse of what it was like to be a mad fan in the old days?
