Allardyce targets return

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Oh dear. This "I only want to manage a club whose ambition matches my own" line. This is the third time that I've heard it. Firstly by George Graham and secondly by David O'Leary, doubtlessly there have been others, and doubtlessly they too are still unemployed.

I think it is a bit sad, really....

Well I wish him now harm and the best for the future, he certainly made Bolton a team I never thought they would be.

It's pointless contemplating him returning to Bolton. The manner of his leaving and the situation between him and the club should make that abundantly clear. As long as Phil Gartside is in charge, Allardyce won't be near the place.

Interestingly he always said that the 10yr contract with us would end with his retirement. He's 54 now & his contract in 1999 would have been up next year.

Had he been true to his plan (OK, OK ...) then he'd be looking to retire next year.

The daft face faced tit! I used to admire and defend him against all and any. Now he's spending his time writing out CV's, all of which will say 'look what I did at Bolton'.

His ambition was his downfall; he had a job for life at Bolton, but sacked us for the massiff Newcastle, without even contemplating the fact that they go through two or three managers a year and the fans must be appeased at that club, first last and foremost.

Going there and playing the same system he played at Bolton was always going to be a disaster, though I still think he left a sinking ship (now working hard to stay afloat). I sinking ship that interestingly started with Phil Brown leaving.

Dud Lie!! Don't let residents of the Black Country hear you referring to them as Brummies! Carnage will ensue. I know - I'm married to a Walsall lass and I only ever made the mistake once. She decked me from fifty yards. :whack:

It's as heinous a crime as referring to us as Mancs apparently.
