Mrs Z hails from Walsall originally. I've just passed on your opinion of her home town. She reckons that she can get to Enfield from here in around two hours by public transport. As long as they don't stop her from taking the baseball bat onto the Underground.enfieldwhite wrote: I was in Walsall yesterday, Ratty.
They really are trying their best to polish a turd there aren't they?

Our Christmas do was voted out by the workers.
We were given a straight choice last spring between keeping the Christmas party or switching to summer. To my irk, folk voted summer. Furtherly irkily, some of those who voted summer then complained when they were on holiday on the allotted night. Well, dur.
Still don't quite feel like Christmas has got going...

As there is, currently, no Underground station for Enfield I'm quite happy that, for some time, she'll be touring some of the areas of North London that would make Dante's vision of Hell look like Disneyland. She would be well advised to pack a baseball bat. And a Taser.
I just got the impression that a lot of the 'improvements' around Crown Wharf consisted of covering everything with fresh Tarmac, like the Pikeys targetting Astley Bridge.
I circumnavigated the Technical College and it wasn't pretty. Sorry Mrs. Z.
