Detectives are appealing for information following the disturbance on Grosvenor Street at about 3am on New Year's Day.

And to think I only use to live around the corner :|

Hardly the metropolis of entertainment, Kearsley. Stoneclough Brew/Market Street and that's about your lot. Not the first time thought that warfare between gangs of bored, and probably drunken, louts has kicked off. Once had my windscreen finish up all over my lap when some clown on the bridge on Stoneclough decided to donate me a housebrick through it. Not much changes.

I wouldn't apologise if I were you, ST. When we consider the the square-heads are an hour ahead of us the it means that the lazy bastard will have been spitting out his breakfast at 2:26 in the afternoon.

I for one hope that it fecking choked him.
May the bridges I burn light your way

I've lived there for 28 years, still do. There was a time, mind you, when it was one of the best night-outs around.

Aye my elder relatives always go on about how it was a top night out in the day. Quite hard to believe now.

Were they not just filming the next episode of shameless?

Doesn't take long for the new year to sour. At about 2am we were driving home through Elephant & Castle and saw one bloke bolt out of a pub, followed at angry speed by a dozen close-cropped types and couple of ladies teetering on heels.
