Patrick McGoohan, legend of The Prisoner, passed away today aged 80. Always loved him in Dangerman myself, but another great actor sadly has left us. R.I.P.

Good old John Drake. He was about the best thing in Braveheart as well. He actually had great range as a "bad guy" on the large and small screen. "Who is number 1?" - "You are number 6." I can remember watching The Prisoner as a tiny one at my aunts and being scared silly, no idea what was going on but was terrified, esp of those big bubbles!
Didn't put me off Portmerion though & a visit there is an absolute must for anyone.
Anyway ... must see Mother.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Wasn't that the original Avengers? I'm pretty sure it was. With you all the way on Portmerion, fantastic place. It's even got it's own concrete boat!Anyway ... must see Mother.
I liked the Prisoner but the ending was just rubbish. It was axed and he only had a few days to think up the ending. Anyway sad to see the old chaps demise. He made me chuckle when he threw he sons boyfriend out of a window.
Yup I thought so...
