I'm just amazed the thread lasted this long, to be honest! We'll see where it goes from here - all sides seem to be stuttering and doing their best not to win it this year, I'd imagine there are a few more twists and turns left yet. And although technically only two teams have their fate in their own hands, nobody's discounting Chelsea at the moment because there's that long to go, and it's still very much a three-horse race in my eyes - if Chelsea were to get points off us at Anfield and we were to nick a draw at Old Trafford they'd be right back in it.
This has happened sooner than I expected, Japan hasn't affected them either it seems.blurred wrote:Aye, if they can beat Fulham at home (trickier than it sounds, y'knowAthers wrote:United look like they're looming up and with all the other top teams to play at home you have to think they'll come chugging along up to Liverpool, then we'll see the scouse credentials when as they're side by side United go on one of their runs and win 11 of 12 or something.) then they'll only be a couple of points off the top. 3-way fight going into the new year, although I still think Japan will bugger up United's season by delaying another game, and with all the added travelling and things.
They're in that run at the moment, that's for sure, spawnily getting past teams 1-0 (Stoke and yourselves, two massive late goals for them). Much as I dislike them, you have to admire their staying power to get those key goals.Athers wrote:This has happened sooner than I expected, Japan hasn't affected them either it seems.blurred wrote:Aye, if they can beat Fulham at home (trickier than it sounds, y'knowAthers wrote:United look like they're looming up and with all the other top teams to play at home you have to think they'll come chugging along up to Liverpool, then we'll see the scouse credentials when as they're side by side United go on one of their runs and win 11 of 12 or something.) then they'll only be a couple of points off the top. 3-way fight going into the new year, although I still think Japan will bugger up United's season by delaying another game, and with all the added travelling and things.
Still, all to play for - who knows, we might actually start playing at some point this season. We've fumbled along without showing our best and are joint top in late-January. Wonderful. Shame that Japan didn't appear to slow their momentum, but oh well.

I am expecting us to finish no lower than 3rd. Whether we come 1st, 2nd or 3rd is too close to call at this stage.seanworth wrote:So you are expecting to finish 3rd this season?blurred wrote:I would happily take that bet with anyone on the forum that we will finish no lower than 3rd.lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:Take no pleasure in saying this but L'pool will finish fourth....... again. And in your conviction you will be offering better odds than SKYBET in order to secure my monkey?blurred wrote:I would happily take that bet with anyone on the forum that we will finish no lower than 3rd.lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:Take no pleasure in saying this but L'pool will finish fourth....... again. Why, what odds are Skybet offering on us finishing no higher than 4th?lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:And in your conviction you will be offering better odds than SKYBET in order to secure my monkey?blurred wrote:I would happily take that bet with anyone on the forum that we will finish no lower than 3rd.lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:Take no pleasure in saying this but L'pool will finish fourth....... again.
