Man City are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Well the fee doesn't matter, so really I think Bridge and Bellamy are steps in the right direction for them. Remember how good Bellamy was for Hughes at Blackburn, he basically took them up the league 10 places and turned them into a better footballing side that season, despite playing up front with shit like Kuqi and Paul Dickov.

De Jong now

£18 million for someone who apparantley was available for £1.8 million in the summer

Even I can do the maths on that one!

Again though I think he is a decent player, the type of ball-wining-and-sensible-using midfielder they are lacking now hamann is practically retired on his feet.

I don't care too much for money, money can't buy me love:
Premier League footballer Robinho has been arrested by police investigating an allegation of sexual assault.

The Manchester City forward met with police as part of a "criminal investigation", following the alleged attack at a nightclub in Leeds.

Robinho's spokesman, Chris Nathaniel, said the player "strenuously denied any allegation of wrongdoing".

West Yorkshire Police confirmed a man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with an alleged incident on 14 January.

Mr Nathaniel said Brazilian international Robinho met with police, as pre-arranged, as part of the criminal investigation and later released on bail.

"He strenuously denies any allegation of wrongdoing or criminality and is happy to co-operate with the police if further required," he said.

Robinho, whose full name is Robson de Souza, joined Manchester City from Real Madrid in September for £32.5 million, making him Britain's most expensive player.

Quote I found amusing from Uli Hoeness regarding Citeh.
independent wrote:Which is why Hoeness can only smile when he sees City losing.

"I saw the Premier League game between Stoke City and Manchester City (last weekend)," he revealed.

"I noticed that millions have been invested by certain people there very badly.

"I saw that they can do absolutely nothing, even though they were very expensive."

Heard they tried to loan Niclas Bendtner at the last minute. And got rebuffed. Richest club in the world.

Yep.

It's almost as if Hughes has a deathwish. From Kaka to Bendtner ?? If you were worth gazzilions would these players be the ones you'd be looking to sign ?

It's like they are only pretending to be rich.

Amazing.

He's probably right, but that's more condemnation of Newcastle than praise of City

Manchester City defender Micah Richards has been arrested over an alleged assault outside a nightclub.

Richards was questioned by police on Wednesday over the alleged assault of a man in Hale, Greater Manchester, at around 12.30am on Christmas Eve.

England international Richards has been bailed until April.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "A 20-year-old man has been arrested after an assault outside a Hale nightclub, at about 12.30am on December 24, 2008.

"The man was arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault by appointment on Wednesday February 4.

"He has been bailed until April 8 pending further inquiries."

Richards has established himself as a key member of the City side since making the breakthrough in the first team and signed a new five-and-a-half contract last February.

Backing
City manager Mark Hughes insists the club will back Richards and revealed the defender could be involved in Saturday's clash with Middlesbrough.

"We are very supportive of Micah. He went to the police station in a pre-arranged appointment. It is an on-going situation, we are aware of that and we are supportive of him," said Hughes.

When asked whether the defender was in the right frame of mind to be considered for selection this weekend, he replied: "Absolutely."

Didn't know there was any 'nightclubs' in Hale.... Beautiful town with nice bars, but not a 'club' in sight
