Sky Sports: Bolton agree fee with Newcastle for Nolan

Tells us what they should be doing. Bit of reasoning behind the transfer. Not from Megson but from the club itself, might come out soon though.hoboh2o wrote:

I have it on good authority, can't tell you who my source is sorry, That Nobby does not want to go to The Toon, he did'nt when Big Sam took over & does'nt want to go now. He rang Megson as soon as he heard the news and Megson said he did not know about it either. So either this is the work of Gartside or Megson is lying. In the meantime , as of last night, so he may have changed his mind since then, Nolan was mulling over whether or not to even talk to Newcastle. The lad is not happy about what has gone on.
My own view is look at our record when he does'nt play, I'm sure someone can get it up on here but last time I saw it it was atrocious .

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England

Previous to that its been awful, but under Megson I don't think its been as bad. He was influential when Allardyce was here but not as much now.claus jensens guitar wrote:Last 3 games without Nolan (when he was suspended)
Beat Hull 1-0 away
Lost to Arsenal in 86th minute away
Lost to United in 90th minute at home
Not that bad is it.

SSN report it's a done deal, got himself a 4.5 year deal.
Thanks for the good times, some cracking goals over the years but it's been a full year since last got a goal and I can't remember him going particularly close since that goal at Reading either.
Playing 4-5-1 we need goals from central midfield and he's not been getting them, let's see if anyone else who comes in can.

Sounds dubious to me.wovlad wrote:I have it on good authority, can't tell you who my source is sorry, That Nobby does not want to go to The Toon, he did'nt when Big Sam took over & does'nt want to go now. If he didn't want to go, and Megson told him he knew nothing about it, why not just turn down the contract they offered him?
He's not obliged to leave, simply because the club accept a bid for him.
