What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last night...

It is good, don't get me wrong, but it does require a bit of a leap just to accept that this guy is ageing in reverse...

... but for as long as you can make this leap, it's an interesting film, with some impressive effects and an engaging story.

Mark Kermode called it Forrest Gump with A Levels... This unfair?

Kermode is hardwired to be grossly unfair to one movie a week...

Just listened to his review...

He's actually pretty much on the money. For some reason I don't feel like adopting quite as critical a tone as his, but I don't disagree with anything he says.

Not caught either yet - though both on my list.

Saw slumdog millionaire tonight - some very good stuff, some predictable, a lot sentimental, but well worth seeing production by the boy from Canon Slade... Closing credits great fun...

To be recommended... coming soon... the annual VIVA festival at the Cornerhouse in Mancland... I love it, ten days in early march and about 60 Spanish/Hispanic/Latin American films usually. I've seen some excellent movies that got no kind of release in uk outside of the festival... check it out on corner house website www.cornerhouse.org/film :D

I really do fail to see how Mark Kermode's opinion of any film is more valid than yours or mine.

Who said it was? Not I!

But it's likely to be more expert and informed than mine. I should hope so, anyway. It is his job.

I'm not saying that you did, more passing a general comment. Just because he might not like something I might think that it's ace, and vice versa. To be honest I find the guy to be an absolute cock.

He does come across that way, I agree, but, and here's the annoying thing.... what he says is often actually pretty accurate.

Forrest Gump gets mentioned above

Now then, I love that film

Does it make me a bad person?

You are, of course, a bad person, but not on account of that.

FG is miles better than TCOBB, in my humble opinion.

Great film is Forest Gump. Did you cry though?

Tonight I get new episodes of Chuck, 24 and Heroes. Big TV night is Monday, but it is only 4.00 pm here.

Did, a fortnight ago. Agree it's good. Nicholson is superb.

Must have seen this film three or four times at least, but it never gets old....

Made a late new years resolution last night: Never to watch another Steven Segal movie. I've fallen in the trap before and it's a definite "See one, you've seen em all" scenario. No more. I always decide this just as the film ends.
