I can't comment on many films mentioned. I can though present a critique on Fist Full of Dollars, which by coincidence I watched last night (I'm wading through 70 odd DVDs I was given).
In one word: crap
In two words: bloody crap
In three words: muchos bloody crap
In four words: A pile of crap
In five words: It couldn't be any crappier
In six words: . . . I'm sure you get the idea.

Nope, not seen it yet.TANGODANCER wrote:You seen Gran Turino yet Hoss? It's a must.CrazyHorse wrote:Great question.
Without doubt it's Dirty Harry; the first film of the series. The others are all good too but the original is superb. Great story and sub-plots, the evil-in-camp-way bad guy, great one liners and the right amount of action/violence. Pure Gold.
Is it good then? Only the ads for it on the telly seemed to make it out to be a bit dull. If it's half a good as Dirty Harry though then I'll have to get out and see it.

Counting my words in the resumé.

Just watched Changeling, Eastwood Directed, again an excellent film with Angelina Jolie acter her socks off. Well worth the Oscar nominations.
Right up there with his best films as a Director.

When I think of Angelina Jolie acting items of clothing off, I'd be a little disappointed to find it was her socks.FaninOz wrote:Just watched Changeling, Eastwood Directed, again an excellent film with Angelina Jolie acter her socks off. Well worth the Oscar nominations.

As a more modern film, I liked "In the line of fire" - but still Dirty Harry for me.

To be fair the bloke does'nt make bad films to often even Firefox is watchable.
My favourite though is the Outlaw Josey Wales. Very unHollywood ending but excellent as a result.

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England
