BARCA! BARCA! BARCA!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

The thing I love about Messi was summed up when he was chopped by three United defenders. He got up and carried on running though the ref brought the play back.

Cronaldo did the same, feigned that he had been chopped and fell over having a tantrum.

He's Messi-merising em.. United can't get the ball and when they do it's panic passing. Definitely second best at half-time.

While I have no problem with United (and would like them to win), I am glad the scoreline is bringing peace and happiness to many on this board.

Great display of fotball from Barcalona. Iniesta and Messi immense, Piquet brilliant in defence. Nothing left to say. Best team won by a mile.

Good to see Eidur up there with the team, shame he didn't get on the pitch.

I really enjoyed that. Barca were a joy to watch, United made to look poor.

Iniesta and Xavi and Busquetts in the middle were outstanding, I think I might swap them for McCann, Muamba and Cohen.

That was the only downside for me. Really enjoyable game though - Ronaldo isn't fit to clean Iniesta's boots, near mind Messi.

Bloody hell. Bit special weren't they. First goal was crucial, and you've gotta look at VDS and Vidic for it. After that only one team in it.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Even Red nose had to admit the best team won, not a ref decision to complain about anywhere - that musta hurt.

Schiller wrote it... Beethoven set it to music... It's the european anthem for a european night...

Be embraced, Millions!
This kiss for all the world!
Brothers!, above the starry canopy
A loving father must dwell.

Joy, beautiful spark of Gods!,
Daughter of Elysium,
Joy, beatiful spark of Gods!.

I didn't watch - I couldn't have borne it if the pox had won... But gonna go and play The Ode to Joy right now :D :D :D

I had to admire how Barca set themselves up at the start of the second half - let the back four have as much time o the ball as they like, let Carrick have two touches before closing down, make sure Giggs has to go backwards, don't let anyone else have any time on the ball. Ten minutes of that. Then paw United away like a cat does to a ball of string. It was a great technical display of how to frustrate a free flowing team.

Xavi was brilliant, if more than a little petulant. His ball for Messi to nod in was sublime.

Puyol outRonaldo'd Ronaldo. Didn't know whether to laugh at the schadenfreude or through embarassment.

Joh O'Shea is as much a top class right back as I am a Chippendale.
