This going off for rain at 40-odd for 2 is clear gamesmanship on Ponting's behalf - he should be pilloried in the press.

International Cricket is like our football used to be, you get picked on reputation rather than taking into account form as well. Too Conservative by half.

Surely if it was done on reputation it'd be Harmison over Onions? What the feck has Onions done in Test cricket?

5/38 in his first test against the Windies at Lords, and 10 wickets in the series I suppose.

Broad looks a little better now, Superjohn. Pretty good overall bowling performance from most of them.

Good all round team performance and a great catch at a critical time by Broad. Anderson is a star man right now and a real bonus at tail-end batting, but Freddie bowled excellently too. Terrific end of day situation, pity about the light. Lean on them hard and lets see more of that nail-biting from Captain Ponting. Loved it. :D

Wife's out holiday shopping so I'm flicking between here and the Test. Aussies are trying to emulate our tail-end heroics and not doing badly. Come on, get shut of em.
