Really handy looking players they've got though. Robben one side Ribery the other, Tymo in the middle with van Bommel, maybe Schweinsteiger?

Schweinsteigers time is over. He is a real german - a tournament player. In the regular season he plays bad, in big tournaments like WC or Euro he shows some real good performances, thats it. He is totally overrated in my opinion.
Tomorrow there's Mönchengladbach v Mainz on the schedule. I think ESPN will broadcast from 19.30 (english time), so turn in if you've got some time.

Certainly will. In the absence of St Pauli & Rostock, I've adopted Monchengladbach this year. They were a top side when I was a kid (1977 v Liverpool) but what I didnt know was that between 1968 & 1978 only them & Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga. Wonder how long it will be before they win it again?VFLsmonan wrote:Tomorrow there's Mönchengladbach v Mainz on the schedule. Yes the golden '70s. I wasn't born then, but in that decade Borussia was one of the best club teams in Europe. 5x german champion, 2x Uefa Cup, 1x german cup winner, almost world cup and European Cup of Champions winner. Since that final in 1978 against Liverpool there's a big fan friendship between us and them. After Hillsborough our Supporters donated 21.000 Mark to the families that lost someone at that day. Since then Liverpool supporters come to Gladbach for one match in may and Gladbach supporters travel to Anfield during winterbreak in Germany. In Youtube you can find some videos about the last time Liverpool fans were in our stadium:

Watching this on ESPN (free till Monday night for Virgin Media subscribers). Uneventful 1-0 lead to Moenchengladbach, although very impressed by their midfielder Marx. From the 45 minutes I've watched, his marauding and passing would compliment Muamba's ability to break up play well.VFLsmonan wrote:Schweinsteigers time is over. French newspaper reckons its because Ribery is going to Madrid. For about e85m.VFLsmonan wrote:After Robben Bayern bought Rafinha from Schalke 04 for about 10 Mio. €![]()
They've spend 85 Mio. € in this transfer period, till now.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Fifth game day: Wolfsburg lost third game in a row against Leverkusen (Bayer were 3-0 in front, Wolfsburg almost equalized), Hoffenheim 3-0 Bochum, Frankfurt won 2-0 in Freiburg, Nürnberg 1-0 Mönchengladbach (
). Hertha's crysis goes on after 1-2 defeat in Mainz and finally Bayern raped Dortmund in Westfalenstadion with 1-5. Sunday our good friends from Cologne lost their fourth match this season, this week they lost 1-2 against Schalke (
), in addition to that Bremen played 0-0 against Hannover.

Are you talking about Gladbach? We never get more than 10 away points since 2000. That's one reason why we never manage Eurocup qualification.
This season is not much different. In Bochum we played 3-3 after a great first half and a lead of 3-0, after that a 0-3 lost in Bremen and now this unnecessary 0-1 defeat in Nürnberg, because we were the better time.
