I like about 6 of those songs, hardly any of them are "true greats". They should rename it the "10 best indie songs"

Although it still wouldn't be accurate

EVER?!!!! I know these things are often, and sometimes understandably, slanted towards modern music. But music began in 1984?! Oh dear oh dear.

Killers song isn't even the best on on the album.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

They are, I believe, a popular beat combo.

Supposedly one of those "If you don't like them, you're not cool" sort of bands are Muse....

I'm obviously not cool.

I'm obviously not cool.
Nor I, go in with Radiohead as a band beyond reproach amongst my peers, and beyond comprehension to myself.

I quite like Muse. I fought against it for years, but I really like em. Especially the new song about the bankers

re: that list. Jesus christ. Might as well have polled "top ten songs played in 5th ave every single night of the week.".

Quite obviously, the No.1 track ever recorded in a modern musical recording facility is Don't Stop Till You Get Enough by MJ. It's just perfect.

Post that something by Miles.

To start with what may turn out to be the oldest - 1928, i think:

Pirate Jenny's Song from The Threepenny Opera (Weill music, Brecht lyrics). i like this version of the English translations:
