Thanks for the compliment Len.TANGODANCER wrote:Do you feel an absolute compulsion to answer every post with your dazzling wit?Bruno wrote:It is.
No, it's all about context - taken on face value it'll mean nothing to you - but when you invest time in the characters and the storyline then it begins to make sense.

went a bit mental tonight and opened a love film account (well, 14 day free trial
). I've rented 'Il Divo' and The Damned United. Look forward to them.
Also, I bought the Red Riding trilogy on DVD. Fooking can't wait to sit mysen down and watch those back to back, whilst probably developing a self-destructive psyche in the process.

I only managed to watch the first two RR films, missed the third due to other commitments. It's bloody tough going - a very dense plot, lots of twists and red herrings, and overall it is unbelievably bleak. Very powerful though.
season2 of The Wire was slow to get going, but by the end I thought it actually topped the first series. Just. I watched a bit of three but got distracted so need to rewatch.

My favourite character too... And he continues all the way to the end... enjoy...Bruno wrote:Red Riding was on Sky last week, and I taped the whole lot so have that to watch at some point.
Just finished s2 of the Wire - not enough Omar but still absolutely superb stuff, picked up s3 for £8.99 so have to start that soon.

I really enjoyed s1, and s2 was a definite improvement and so I can't wait for s3, though I lost some respect for Stringer when I found out he was called Russell.....not quite as menacing.
