If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Total mis-use of words in an MSN article:

"Canada's adorable wildlife and where to spot them on a trip. This is followed by a list that includes Polar bears, Grizzlies, Caribou, Wolves, Wolverines etc. All animals you'd just love to find outside your tent/home on a trip. Guys been seeing too many Disney films

Yes, you'd really want to undo the zipper on the tent flap to go head to head with a polar bear, wouldn't you? :D

Whatever you do in that situation, for gods sake don't eat their liver.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Today I'm angry about:

1) Washing machines that pack up mid wash, tripping out the electricity through the whole house.
2) Kitchens that flood as a result of a washing machine packing up.
3) Water mains taps that disintegrate as you're turning off the water supply to a packed up washing machine, meaning that even more water shot out of a pipe and onto our kitchen floor until I could get out to the water mains for the whole house.
4) Whoever put the back of our kitchen cupboards in after they had plugged in the washing machine.
5) Manufacturers who make those electricity plugs that you can only remove from, for example, washing machines by getting a hacksaw to the lead.
6) Mornings that, rather than earning money doing work, are spent grappling with knackered washing machines and wet kitchen floors.

Oh, and people who park on the corners of junctions, meaning no-one can see down the road as they're pulling out. And people who then shoot YOU dirty looks for pulling out of a blind junction slowly before reversing once they see someone coming.

Thanks KB, I've got a plumber coming tomorrow to put me a new sink in. I'm depressed already reading that. Wellies at the ready. :(

I'll keep this brief as it's exasperated all of us at work today. The people in the lab have been told by this jobsworth that came round that they can no longer have the radio on unless we buy a public entertainment licence or somesuch. I like to think that there's a small corner of Hell reserved for these sorts!

You might want to check that no-one is watching live snooker on the BBC's iPlayer during their lunch break, otherwise you may have to fork out for a TV licence too.

We have the same music/radio regulations here. Something to do with the performing arts group and royalties. The radio station pays to play and any 'commercial' user is also required to do the same. It also applies to playing music in your shop (CDs or tapes or whatever) as background music. I risked it when I had a shop, when I'd bang on some light classical music, and to my surprise wasn't dobbed in.

Fortunately private television receiver licences are no longer required - they were abolished many decades ago. I don't know why (as we didn't have a T.V. at that point in time) but my guess is that enforcement of the requirement was becoming more expensive than it was worth. The national broadcaster (the ABC) is now funded solely from consolidated revenue.

Aye, but watched telly in Australia is annoying, operating on a opening credits-adverts-start of show-adverts-bit more-adverts-ending-adverts-credits policy that is well annoying!

Not so much angry myself, but puzzled as to why so many people are so angry over this Gordon Brown letter thingy. I understand the familly's reaction in a difficult, emotional time, but the general public....? I have to say I was suprised he hand wrote every letter. He is partially blind so mistakes are understandable and I think it is commendable he takes the time to write personally to every familly. But oh no, we have to wait for the mistakes. The letter seemed rushed? No shit, he has a country to run. It's organised bullying. There are many reasons policy wise to attack him, but it is indicitive of the micro politics horseshiite days he live in this is the big news.

Its a Sun campaign. Rupert Murdoch is our true Prime Minister/President/thought police/Dictator. Nuff said.

It's depressing how close to the mark that is. Even more depressing is it leaves Liverpool as the last bastion of independant thought.

*sighs*

Maybe we should sack off parliament and just have strictly come make policy decisions. Each week a pollitical party has to come up with a new policy, then it goes to a public vote, and the worst party gets voted off, and pelted in the stocks. Fast forward to a Grand Final and there we have our new dictatorial party.

1917 for the modern age.
