Paul Hart - Gone!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

He's left Pompey, simple as. Avram Grant to step up?

Please make it Megson. Please please please.

I've got £2.34 in my wallet to go towards a train ride down there for our Gary. Anyone else want to chip in?

All. End. In. Tears.

At least it's all out in the open now though, and Grant can stop lurking around in the shadows like the Grim fecking Reaper.

According to SSN Grant will remain as Director of Football and NOT be manager.

And so it shall remain, for a couple of weeks at least. Then when the dust has settled, a severance package has been agreed, a half arsed search for a manager has been completed, Pompey will decide that Grant was the best candidate all along, and up to the plate he shall step.

Just a measure of how shit Paul Hart has been, having had to sell most of his decent players and bugger all investment heading inwards...

Hart's record at Portsmouth

P30 W9 D6 L15 Points 33 - PPG 1.1 Win% 30 Loss% 50

Megson's record at West Brom

P48 W7 D48 L27 Points 35 - PPG 0.73 Win% 14.6 Loss% 56.3

Megson's record at Bolton

P85 W22 D18 L45 - PPG - 0.99 Win% 25.9 Loss% 52.9

Megson's record overall

P133 W29 (FFS) D32 L72 - PPG = 0.89 Win% 21.8 Loss% 54.1

Probably why he got it in first about Portsmouth the other day. We knew he was poor before he arrived, I think only the most optomistic amongst us could say that he's proved otherwise.

They hardly sold all their players on the day he was appointed - all but one of Paul Harts wins came with a side comprising of the likes of James, Krancjar, Distin, Crouch, Pennant, Campbell, Johnson and Davis.

Some of Megson's victories will include Anelka, Diouf etc.

The 54-year-old Israeli was already at the club in his second spell working as director of football.

He will take charge of Saturday's home game with Manchester United in that role as his work permit needs to be changed before he can become manager.
Bizarre - he can't be the Manager because his work permit isn't right, so he'll do everything a Manager does, but that's ok because he's not called "Manager"?

I think his official title will be "team Leader".

I think if he's "caught" managing the team on Saturday, he should be deported for breaching the terms of his work permit. :D

Ha ha. I can just imagine him being hauled off to some detention camp full of illegal plumbers.
