Aye, I've been enjoying it. It's very, very Channel 4, but it's enjoyable.

Pretty pricey cocktails, but bottle of beer wise, it's no dearer than anywhere in town. Obviously it has fantastic views and the dim lights mean there's barely any reflection on the windows, thus not hindering your views. Get there as early as you can, as they tend to ' give it the old, 'guest list or residents only' later on the evening. That said 2 of you, should be fine (I take it the other is a lady freind? in which case dig deep for a champers cocktail, £11 ish)
Cheers, yeah I think we're heading off sometime between 6-7 I think, but we might just run into the post-work crowd? I'm not sure. I've been in an apartment up the tower before, the views are pretty good indeed, I think this particular flat-dweller had the right idea facing North so you can't see Old Trafford.

and yep it is a lady friend, I'll be going to the cash machine later...
How was your date? Was she suitably impressed?

Had to queue for about 10-15 and it was foggy so view was lacking, but with my company what do you think? :P

Interesting weekend in Manchester!

Saturday evening was spent in St Johns church in Chorlton in the company of Helen Watson and the Lovenotes. Five women singing acapella in magnificent surroundings. They did a range of Christmas songs with no religious connotations at all but a healthy dose of humour. About 200 people in the small audience and everyone including myself absolutely loved it.

Something different again for Sunday evening. Manchesters first ever drive-in movie on the top deck of the NCP car park on Church Street in the northern quarter where they are showing 24 Hour Party People. I'm told it will be a regular event if this first invitation only night goes well.

Anyone else slightly disappointed with The Thick of It last night? I'm going to give it another go later to see if there was something I missed. It just seemed a little weak for the finale, and I didn't really enjoy the F**ker character who turned up for the opposition. Last week's episode was far better IMO.

Then afterward Megson can sign you up and stick you upfront.
