On the bright side I think that problem triggers 'extended warranty' up to 3 years. So we might get the fecker fixed for free.

Right at Christmas though, with 2 weeks left on my gold membership. Humbug. :?
Oh mate i feel your pain! Whatever you do, don't try the towel trick, i left mine too long and it ended up burning out the whole console! Nightmare!
so do i, and i havent had it! (touch wood) mind you just seen Game are knocking out the Elite plus Forza & MW2 or Ass Creed 2 for £199! well tempted to dabble and keep one spare or move it upstairs!?

Still elligible for the extended warranty though so I'm hoping it'll be reet.

Good luck mate.

Think we dodged a bullet on the warranty. Just within the limit.

They're going to do the whole 'we'll send you a box, you wrap up the console and send it back, we'll fix it and hopefully get it back to you in a few weeks' er, deal.

Apparently it gets sent off to Korea, my mate says they don't celebrate Christmas, so there won't be any seasonal delay.

Wishful thinking; I don't think it will be back before the new year. But they did mention an extra 3 month warranty on the fixed machine and 1 month free gold membership to sweeten things. But y'know, I wanted to play NOW.

Yeah, I don't like what they've done graphically with the game. I preferred the original's darker theme. The deep south angle is also not as good.

Bayonetta is absolutely batshit crazy, absolutely INSANE.

However, what a f*cking BRILLIANT game it is.

It looks like Devil May Cry's drugged up brother. This is a good thing.

As a story it looks like juvenile sh*te :( with disappointing 'ooh matron' campness going on. And a dreadful soundtrack. Shame as I was also looking forward to it.

Oh it's totally that...but if you like DMC games then you will LOVE this. The uber-eroticism is actually kinda funny if you don't take everything too seriously anyway and the music fits the game and it's style.

It's the game DMC4 should have been, it's amazing.

I've heard they fix them in either Portsmouth or Germany, mine arrived back from Portsmouth about 18 months ago when it went.

It was in warranty when I typed that, but the lazy bloke in the house who owns it hasn't gotten his act together yet and sent it away.

The timing is touch 'n go, if he waits until after the new year, time might have ran out.

I know it's his machine, but we're talking 300+ here. And I want to play ruddy Fight Night. :(

Mine left Frankfurt @ 23:41 on the 21st.

Cologne @ 04:07 on the 22nd

Brussels @ 09:36 on the 22nd

And arrived in Barking @ 16:16.

At this rate, I'm hopeful it arrives back before Chrimbo. :-)

Don't get excited, it's once it arrives in the UK that things go tits up!

It'll probably take a week to get out of Ireland.

But after that it looks like plain sailing. :)

If it goes from Barking to Ireland, I'll be 'avin a quiet word.

It arrived in Tamworth at 22:22 and departed at 0:38 - it's due to come home later today. :-)
