Having a great life in Liverpool and being sent to Blackpool where I explicitly said I did not want to go for 4th year of uni. That means moving back home. That is very very bad.

They were leaving on 83 around us.
Indeed, not long after our second, people were leaving. some idiot booing the team off too (It wasn't the ref they were booing, if you think I'm mistaken) he also threw a programme to the ground and walked out in disgust after their equaliser. He'd probably have been gutted if he'd seen us win the game

bollox, bullshit weird & wonderful philospohies. Homeopathy for example.

I was in Borders Books a couple of weeks ago and saw a book on Feng Shui. I moved it a little, but to no avail. The business is still going bust !
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It mainly is bollocks. I did a review of evidence for the use of herbal medicine and the evidence behind that is patchy at best. Any real benefit is due to the placebo effect rather than the plant itself. Stick to the proper medical stuff!

Most of the sh*te the Pharmaceuticals companies sell is placebo.. Don't even get me started on Sleeping pills, Lemsips, and Chest rubs FFS!

Truth be told, I don't take ANY medication whatsoever, not even a Paracetomol to aid a hangover

As Dara O'Briain says...people say herbal medicine has been around for thousands of years. Indeed it has, and then we tested it all, and the stuff that worked became....medicine.

I have to say that the many forms of opiates I was given after shattering the vast majority of my upper arm and shoulder had a f*cking magnificent placebo affect. Because I spent the first 48 hours without.

Was listening calmly to R5 this morning as I ate my rather delicious home-laid boiled egg when...

TWICE - yes TWICE - the broadcast was interrupted to take us LIVE to the end of the fecking Terry Wogan fecking show - which INSTANTLY spoiled my entire day - the kind of smug mawkish drivel that quite turned me off my breakfast

IF I WANTED TO LISTEN TO TERRY FECKING WOGAN I'D HAVE TUNED TO RADIO-fecking-TWO - but I didn't - which was why I put Radio fecking 5 on

agggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

(an anger only slightly mollified when I learned that Wogan's radio followers are called TOGGs - Terry's Old Geezers and Gals...

the broadcast then beamed live to outside the BBC where a load of these smug and irritating self-satisfied TOGGS had gathered - and a roving interviewer approached them and said....

I'm here with a group of TOGGS - Terry's Old Gits and Gals :spank:

(Am I too easily irritated??)

Virgin Trains.

Yesterday I went down to that London. Me, the Missus & 17yr old son. We were getting onto a train which had begun its' route in Manchester & I got on in Crewe. Knowing that it'd be busy I had booked early & registered reserve seats.

The Crewe passengers got on & the carraige was full. Full of people not remotely interested in giving up their seats and happily pointing out that the "reserved" signs by the seats were blank. So, in their view the bookings didn't exist. In our view they fckg did.

There were some standing who just walked away, some seated who gave way & some who stood their ground leading to rather heated arguements (guess which bobo was in ??). Some serious pushing & shoving ensued. I had a more than animated discussion with some Manc who seemed to object as I crowded him, leant across him, had my elbow by his head & various other rather shameful irritations.

Further up two people actually started rolling around in a fight, spilling people's drinks.

The guard eventually showed her face & we went intio first class.

Same non-reserved, reserved seats on the return journey but thankfully a much less crowded train, so no issue this time.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Toaster makers and Bakers.

When the fook are they going to talk to each other.

Can't be difficult can it - My bread is these dimensions (approx), so the holes in your toaster need to be X size.

This x a trillion, it's not even big bread. Where the f*ck do toaster makers buy their bread? Or have I missed some toast convention that says you should put it in vertically and leave a bit at the top as bread
