So, we budget arount £70,000 to grit all the towns roads through winter!!!
Clearly along with the bin episode Cllr Ismail Ibrahim is quite clearly out of her depth yet again! Where was the rest of the money and investment you should have planned to keep roads open for buisiness nad schools?
Buying skips for women to throw their old underware in for "poor" nations?

Don't vote Labour or the state will well and truly screw you!

(Sits back and waits for William to arrive with his standard "Nanny" comment.)
Councillor Ibrahim unlikely to be out of HER depth...

But i take it as conclusive evidence that in hobo world even a bearded Asian man is your fantasy nanny...

This story doesn't add up... My suspicion is a zero missing on last years figure...
Who the hell was that bird then at your place when we did the bin protest?????? and the one throwing bra's in the skip on telly? she looked female :conf:

Where they were to borrow from after all the councils had rid themselves of these unneessary appendages wasn't made entirely clear. Freemarket thinking. F*cking brilliant.
Actually I'd put that down to labour no brain thinking!
I would suspect given the advice came from management consultants - who by their nature don't tend to only just get the national minimum wage - that there could well have been advice given by non-Labour voters. So the core "no brain thinking" may well have come from affiliates of a different party altogether - so if that's what we've got to look towards, no thanks.

Accepting the advice is a completely different conversation.

Of course when considering budgets of MBC's, snow-ploughs are only one aspect which needs to be weighed carefully against all the other areas that could be cut in order that you're not paying 10 grand a month council tax.

But of course the fatally flawed idea that you need look no further than management consultants when considering one minor part of an overall budget wouldn't necessarily be long-sighted enough to see that there were probably other things to consider...

having just bought a new pc for the kids (the old one having blown up in a cloud of acrid smoke!) - my son informed me that it ran World of Warcraft fine - and my daughter was very happy with its speedy running of Sims3.

however - he now informs me that WoW is quite an old game and some of the newer stuff what he downloads - the video card is not up to scratch.

now - video cards and the technical mumbo-jumbo that goes with them is well beyond me - so I ask him to research which one will match the pc's capabilities and run his games.. (he is 17 and about to go to Teesside Uni to study computer Games programming - so he SHOULD be able to handle it!)

he recommends a radeon HD4830 - so I order one (nice dad that I am!)

it arrives today - and it is fecking huge - takes up two slots - and in just to get it in to the machine I have to reroute several yards of cabling..

but - I get it in and am quite proud of myself.

then I notice that it needs powering - arse! - but never mind - there are several spare power cables dangling from the psu...

BUT - none of them fit - the video card needs a pciexpress(6pin) power supply... bugger - have to order an adaptor

AND THEN - the pc only has a vga monitor cable - and the video card has dvi-d inputs and no vga - so - have to order new fecking cable too...

bring back the XZ Spectrum!!! Aaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS

I have now discovered that this pc does not have any 4-pin molex power connectors as it has only SATA connectors - which makes it all one level MORE complicated as there isn't a SATA to 6-pin adaptor....

I now know more about pc power connectors and their history/compatiblity than it is healthy for one man to know!

Now t'Amiga - that were a proper games machine. Kick off 2, Sensible Soccer, Populus 2, Civ 2, Xenon 2. Why were the "2"s always better?

I think because all releases were rushed out, and they knew that it could look better. I thought Sensible World of Soccer was better than the original, mainly because the transfer system was so easy that you had Shearer and Ronaldo up front for Bolton in your first season. And I don't think there was a Xenon 1. But Xenon 2 was the best shoot-em-up ever made. Still is.

Populous 1 was better and the only reason I bought an Amiga, the thump thump of the heartbeat used to drive my parents mad at 2am (their bedroom was below mine)

Happy days :)

Anyone hope your son who plays WoW is on the horde side :)
My dog (proper 57) had his anal glands emptied once and yes the smell is something to behold!!
