Benitez .... prick

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

reason? well he knows as well as anybody he dropped the ball in the most catastrophic manner last year when he took on fergusons guns blazing and got absolutely embarassed. on and off the pitch.

he clearly has massive regrets.
Not least of which would be guaranteeing a 4th place finish this season...

They might, but it's gonna be hellish close.

Still, as this Premier league football blog points out he did have a go at Allardyce the other day and it was a moderatly amusing dig.

Having said that, someone on Radio 5 last night was saying how Rafa and Martinez think there's a group of managers (Sam, Sir Alex and a few others) who pick on Rafa and that Rafa doesn't have many friends. Bless.

I know that I should want the teams around us to lose, but I can't help having some sympathy for pie-eaters. Actually I'd like them and Burnley to stay up (below us), with Wolves, Pompey and WHam going down. But one can't have everything. A win for Wigan will probably make them overconfident for our game because they think they know what to expect. A Wigan victory might also end this thread.

I found myself enjoying Wigan winning, a rare feeling towards a relegation rival. Although it is nice to see Gerard, Carragher and Torres all whinging. And by the looks of it on the TV, Benitez walked straight down the tunnel without shaking Martinez hand?

I think that's because Benitez is a prick. (I'm not sure if that's been raised before.)

Likewise. Listening to the commentary on the radio they fully deserved it, were by far the better team and should've won by more!

Just looking at the fixtures I might be tempted to back Everton to finish above Liverpool.

That could put them in 8th place.

Not exactly top 4.

More 4th of the next 4

Wow, I really have no idea how to feel about this. I mean obviously a loss for Wigan would have been better for us but how great would it be if Liverpool "did a Leeds?"

Come on City!

I notice he didn't see Gerrard's supposed fingers at the ref, and swearing.

But of course, he couldn't have swore at the ref, because you get sent off for that? Right?

Not in Stevie-Me's case.

Firtly - he didn't do it
Secondly - if you have video of him doing it, it only LOOKED like he did it
Thirdly - if there's real proof that he did do it, then he & his mates, were provoked
Fourthly - he was in fear for his own safety
Fifthly (is that a word ?) - he'll offer you £250k to stop accusing him of it
Sixthly - he's Stevie Me !!!

Leave him alone. He's a liar and a cheat (c) don't you know !!

Rafael Benitez pulled no punches in assessing his side's poor display after the 1-0 defeat by Wigan, accusing his team of lacking attitude and character.
And . . . who signed these gutless wonders?

6 minutes injury time to help them out too, but they sill couldn't do it. Interesting to see what stance the FA take against Gerrard, considering the video evidence is there for all to see

do people still stick 2 fingers up?? I thought that was really the preserve of schoolboys in the 70s??? for a grown man to do it - just seems a bit lame and juvenile to me...

I haven't seen the video, was it a malicious two fingers up or was it more stating (albeit quite strongly) the number 2? :conf:

I'm still really sore that two of our players in recent seasons have been sent off for foul and abusive language, so it does annoy me when players do it so blatantly

If he did that, they need to suspend him. Imagine if Gerrard gets away with it and Liverpool do finish 4th, it'll be the Tevez suit all over again.
