Strange, not certain what they expected in the second season.
Something in the gossip column today...

Makes the position fairly untenable if you cannot speak to your players..the Sun wrote: Hull manager Phil Brown has been ordered not to talk to his teenage midfielder Tom Cairney. Brown has received a letter from the 19-year-old's legal representatives after the club tried to open contract negotiations.
Professionalism, the last refuge of the talentless
I know! What's he going to do? Mime to them on the pitch at half time?David Lee's Hair wrote:Strange, not certain what they expected in the second season.

That was my initial thought, as he's been placed on gardening leave (I'll ad a supposedly here, as its still breaking news). Seems odd if you're just straight sacking someone to me.jimbo wrote:Brown to Burnley?H. Pedersen wrote:Let's ask the obvious question . . .
Megson in?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Its very odd. Hull were good against Arsenal on Saturday and fought like trojans. Didn't look like a side "not playing for their manager".
Never been a huge Brown fan but feel sorry for him here, he certainly didn't deserve that in the heat of battle.
Don't get where the Brown to Burnley stuff comes from though, don't they have a manager already?

To be honest it was "is he going somewhere". Then I seemed to remeber that Brian Laws had only signed til the end of the season or something. Maybe I just made the last bit up, but as I say, the gardening leave left me suspicious that maybe he's been in talks with someone and the board have found out.BWFC_Insane wrote:Its very odd. It could of course just be that they don't think he's up to the job and have got shut.

Sto ut Serviam
So we should have sacked Allardyce at this stage in our second season then? He got a team of shite promoted, and kept a team of shite up. He's not set the world alight, but he's done allright there!H. Pedersen wrote:The table says otherwise.BWFC_Insane wrote:Its very odd.
