Benitez .... prick

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I feel I should, at this point, come to the defence of Benitez.

He has, after all, broken the monopoly of the "Big Four".

And that can only be a good thing...

He was scared that the back of Michael Brown's neck might attack him. That's it.

Its ok, we all know that Stevie Me can do whatever he likes as long as he's a bit "frustrated".

I'd love it if someone ended his career last day of the season just before the world cup. Ideally in the most painful debilitating way possible.

I'd love it if someone gave him an injury that would preclude him from the World Cup but would allow him to recuperate sufficiently in time for pre-season. That'd be lovely, thanks.

I'd love it if referees weren't such starfuckers when dealt with obvious opportunities to send him off.

Would anybody be shocked? How many times has Gerrard withdrawn from England duty only to be fit for Liverpool a few days later?

They'd be surprised when it's the World Cup. He hasn't bothered with some friendlies in the past when carrying knocks (as have most players), but by the same token has played in qualifiers when obviously not fully fit.

... which, 74 pages and 1450+ posts later, is how this whole thread began !

This is the link to the elbowing incident. You don't appreciate what he did until you see the replay from the side. 3 game ban should be coming his way.

Amazing.

Seriously, if the ref doesn't decide to make a decision &/or the FA don't then there should be questions in the House.

That's 2 in a week ... if he does this in South Africa he'll sit out most of the tournament.

FA announce no further action to be taken.

You could probably push an assult charge through the police for that, which I think should give him a few games rest before the World Cup.

How no action can be taken for what is quite blatantly thuggery is beyond me.

As for the debate about him getting injured - I wouldn't wish that on any player really. And I'll be quite happy to have him in the World Cup team.

I'm surprised our Footballer Supporters Federation rep would see it any differently. ;-)

...and the FA aren't looking into it. Do that off the pitch and you'd get arrested.

Disgraceful and gutless, as per usual.

What a disgrace the FA are. He has escaped a ban because the ref saw it and gave Portsmouth a free kick. Surely he didn't see the fore-arm smash otherwise he would have been sent off.

Tossers.

I know there's a thread here, somewhere, entitled "Stevie Gerrard ... a Cheat and a Disgrace" or something like that.

Un-be-fckg-lievable.

I suppose I should be surprised that he didn't give a foul against Brown for falling in front of him and almost tripping him up.

I can only hope that this isn't let to lie. At the very least maybe this is so clear, so perverse, so bent, so obviously wrong that he now starts being seen for what he is .... same for their manager ... same for that whole club, to be honest.

Speaking very definitely with my Liverpool fan hat on and not my FSF hat on, there. Either way, I'm no great fan of England, and not everyone involved in the FSF is. Still, I hope they do well at the WC, as it's good for business ;)

Seeing that gif over and over (the replays I saw last night weren't the best) it looks pretty bad to me. Surprised the FA haven't at least gone through the charade of charging him then letting him off eventually.
