I believe he was released without charge - he was on Radio 5 at about 11:30 last night.

Indeed, I think 68 of the 72(?) arrested had also been released without charge.

I would have been with you William if I lived local and to say people should ignore the likes of the EDF is very blinkered and very dangerous.

Those who bring violence though, from whatever group are wrong and should not be welcomed and peaceful demonstration should always be encouraged.

+1 with the added caveat that those bringing violence are wrong in a fair democratic society such as ours. Sometimes violence is needed, 21st century Great Britain is not that place.
